I’ve always loved music, even at a very early age I remember being fascinated by my Nan playing the piano. I remember the nursery school band, I played the triangle. Then their was singing competitions and an everyday quest to make as much noise as possible on my bontempi organ. Then in my early teens I discovered drums and practiced every day, next came my first steps into playing in the first of many bands, shortly followed by the endless gigging, recording, publishing and agent deals and all the arguments and headaches that came with it. After being told that my creative input was not important because I only played the drums, I decided a change was needed and in the early 1980’s went back into my passion for keyboards, just as the synthesizer/computer and midi technology was starting. The 1980’s were a very exciting time for me, I released records with two bands performed live at some great venues and recorded in some of the worlds best recording studio’s, I also worked as a recording engineer, session musician and producer for a number of studios, worked in an A&R department for an Independent record label, and wrote music and Jingles for TV and radio. The 1990’s started with me swatting for music exams and studying music law at university. I got into teaching, and was chair of a youth music project coordinating workshops in Music Technology/Studio Production and Singer/Songwriting. I also stage managed festival and live events, sessioned for pantomimes, wrote jingles for radio, released an album and was in a duet that played, weddings, hotels and pubs. 2000 - 2005. I’ve always made money out of music, but was now struggling to financially support my family. I decided to keep my music as a hobby, and ventured into other jobs, after a couple of unsuccessful starts, I found a great job working for a wholesale/manufacturing company, my duties include maintaining the firms IT and network resources, designing and maintaining the companies websites and admin. My wife and I tried a couple of business ventures, before deciding, that my vast music experience was the way forward. In 2005 I brought a studio, and got into website design and private tuition, and reformed with the main songwriter of a band I was in, in the late 1980’s, we are to release an album in 2009.
