Garry has been playing bass and writing music since the mid 60’s. Originating out of Pittsburgh Pa, his love of music has always engulfed his life.
Later in life living in Nashville TN he met and became best of friends with the late Allan Woody of the Allman Brothers Band and the Gov’t Mule.
Garry has a drive and enjoyment on stage that will make those that came out for 1 hour stay all evening. He also brings a pocket to the band that all musicians are in search of.

The wealth of knowledge from all of his acquaintances and many other musicians partnered with friendships from past and present has given Garry an outlook on life that many can only hope to obtain. His melodic in the pocket feel is one that listeners love and drummers dream of.

In the 22 months that I was based in Winston-Salem NC,
I only used one Bass Player for my shows. Garry is a highly experienced Bass Player who compliments the music while adding his personality to
it without dominating it. He can walk the Bass in a big Blues band format, or drive it in a Rockin’ trio. He’s a reliable, stable, consistent musician and a
good friend. On Stage he’s got tone, looks the part, and works hard.

Sitting in a studio or on the back porch trading licks with Garry is one of the most enjoyable off the road pastimes I have (as well as riding our Harleys together). Garry has a right hand with no boundaries he’s a joy to know as a person, a good friend and a true bass player.

Hey Boss. You should try the Southern States for awhile. You know the Blues is really huge in Mississippi and New Orleans. I could see you in the French Quarters playing with no problem and I would get to see you to boot. Just a thought!
