Garry Ventura is a drummer and producer living in Los Angeles. He never received formal training on drums but learned by playing along to his favorite songs on the radio and a few piano lessons. He first performed at 8 years of age in his fathers church and later was encouraged to perform with his first metal band, Forced Entry, by budding super-guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott of then-local rockers, Pantera.
At 18, Garry moved to a huge mansion like home in Dallas with art rockers The Love Remote who four months later had garnered much acclaim from radio play on 94.5 KDGE, 97.1 KEGL and an early following with a four song, self titled cassette EP.
While jamming with friends in Pretty Wild Planet, Gods Zoo and Tripping Daisy, Garry developed a name for himself as a quick study and powerful hitter. He has since gone on to sit in, tour and record with such diverse acts as The Revelators (pop/folk), Swamp Donkeys (punk), Halogen (pop), Magstatic (punk/alternative), Starmy (indie), Twinge (nu metal), Lola (alternative pop), Evil Beaver (punk metal) and many, many others. As well as landing tracks on indie film “Luna's Moon”, Garry Ventura composed, performed and produced his first full length CD titled Innerview released in the spring of 2001.
Returning to L.A. in 2004 after studying music composition and production and writing, producing and releasing two EPs, a solo album and producing many other dynamic artists, Garry Ventura is now the driving force behind several LA based music projects.
