And here I am. Presented here, before you. Sitting in silence with sand still in my shoes. One tablet, two tablet, three tablet more. There is no dignity left anymore. You were here before me. I sit with a faint smile. You nod your head and acknowledge that look. That look of mortality. With sand still in my shoes. You brought it to an end. A personal fight, a public battle. It was you who would keep me going. And thank you. And thank you, with sand still in my shoes. The memories of a place I visited only a moment ago. The torch of life flickered in the clinical surroundings. But I was now here, in a new place having gone under that bridge, sitting here before you alive and new. A gift only you could have gave me.
