Guess what??? Ya Gotta SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THE PHOTOS____________________________I love playing the guitar. I started playing music when I was about 12 years old and it just clicked in a big way...it's been a great journey learning, performing and composing music and I hope it never ends until my days on earth are done! I think I like all good music and have a wide diversity of influences from many genres. If you like rock, jazz, fusion, funk, and blues, then we have something in common. Thanks for dropping by to listen to my music, by the way! I am lucky to have very talented friends who enjoy playing and recording original music with me...it's amazing sometimes when I see where some of my friends have gone in the music industry since we met...DOUG!...anyway...listen to some music and if you like it let me know....Thanks and have a great day!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guitarist/bandleader -------------------------------------------------------------------
Gary Granger has opened for Sonny Landreth, trumpeter El Buho ( Joe Cocker/Phish), jazz super-group Astral Project and even George Jones, Merle Haggard. He has performed in New York City and even more in New Iberia, a fact which keeps him grounded to reality...:) He has toured through over 30 states in the U.S. and his diverse musical experience gives him the ability to conform to any musical situation with both grace and fire. His former band, Blue Soul, became semi-finalists in the 2000 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Keyboardist/Bassist--------------------------------------------------------------------
Chet Blakistone has performed with jazz, blues, country and Top-40 singers and bands since the ‘60s and brings a level of experience and musicianship that is essential to this format. Besides his multi-instrumental talents, he is also the most dependable musician I have ever worked with. In this business, that is a rare commodity. ---------------------------------------------------------------
Drummers --------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------
Doug Belote~~~~~Danny Devillier~~~Jeff Hebert -------------------------------- ---BRAD WEBB----------------------------------------- are the drummers of choice for this band. Any one is incredible in his own right. Doug Belote(WHO CURRENTLY IS THE DRUMMER FOR dobro-legend JERRY DOUGLAS), the first drummer of the group and the catalyst for getting me to RECORD in the first place ( Thanks Doug!) is a Native of south Louisiana. He attended U.S.L. in Lafayette, La. and Drummer's Collective in New York City. He has toured throughout the world and recorded with many different New Orleans artists including: George Porter Jr. (of the Meters), acclaimed songwriter Anders Osborne and Mike Gordon (of Phish), Jazz guitar legend Steve Masakowski, Pianist Larry Seiberth and David Torkanowski. Doug is an accomplished studio musician who has done many different sessions using his knowledge of New Orleans Grooves. ______________________________________________________________In Memphis, my favorite drummer is James Sexton, who played with Kirk Whalum and is one of the most in demand drummers in Memphis right now. -----------------------------------------------------------------~~~~~~So, what do we do onstage???
The performances are a blend of virtuosity and funk grooves that audiences respond well to. The musical range of the band allows them to perform venues ranging from The Fed-Ex Forum, Medium to Smaller Club Dates and private parties. In return for using all of this code...I must now inform you that

Hey Gary, Haaaa...that was great for sure!!! That came out very good! That guy playing the melody part really did a great job!! Then you want me to play it faster...the guy is already playing it to speed. I suggest that you play the melody and I play the bass if that is the case...Hee Hee!
How's it going Gary, I hope everything is going okay for you at school. I got your message about the Alan Hollsworth concert. Man, that must of been beyond awesome!
Also, I saw/heard Chet Blakistone play at Randalls for a cousin of mine's birthday party. Chet is really a talented musician. I was really impressed with him. I spoke to him a while, and he hung around with our group a bit after he finished playing.
If you're back in from break or planning to come down soon, let me know if you're gigging anywhere, and I'll go check you out. I'll talk to you later Gary. Take care bud.
