Influences	Fortunatly for me I have had the opportunity to meet alot of my heros. I'd like to meet Hank Williams,a 30 year old drunken teenager with the mind of a 60 year old. The man played 6 chords and wrote timeless classics the likes of which this world still remembers 55 years later... Let's see if Kenny Chesney can say that 55 years after he's dead. I never got to meet Keith Whitley. What a beautifull voice he had.The most hurtfull pain-filled voice I have ever heard from a human being.All encompassed in that small skinny frame of his.

Well I am a traditional country singer songwriter in the Kentucky area,and I do some songwriter nights.The reason I'm not out there alot is because today's "hot new" country....isn't very hot.In fact the majority of the "country" nowadays makes me sick.It lacks feeling,steel guitar and fiddles.And the "stars" aren't even really all that good looking. Now,some of it is alright but I am basically a non-conformist and will stick to being such. Today's radio conglomerates are taking buiness contributions to play only the memebers of their little clicks and shutting out those they deem "Too Country".Therefore society today has no opportunity to judge for themsleves what is and isn't country,and are basically blind to what SOMEONE ELSE TELLS THEM is country. Even the Opry ocasionally makes me angry with the way they"schedule" the older acts that we ACTUALLY WANT at later times so they aren't exposed to the television portion of the show.One day they will begin to do this to Alan Jackson and that will drive folks away not bring them in.
