One hand clapping, a tree falling in the forest, men's open-toed sandals, baby monkey armpits, a kidney-shaped pool and the universe laughing behind your back.
Gary Kibler has a long history of composing, playing and recording his unique brand of music. In 2006 Sony Pictures asked him to create a complete original music score and audio design for their major online game release of The Da Vinci Code. Bruce Maddocks, the accomplished sound engineer for a number of Hans Zimmer and Harry Gregson-Williams soundtrack projects (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Last Samurai, Batman Begins) helped produce the final masters in his Cups 'n Strings studio in Santa Monica, California.
CNET EDITOR'S REVIEW: With its combination of hard suspense and cool mystique, "The Da Vinci Code" puts a unique set of demands on a soundtrack composer. Gary Kibler proves himself up to the challenge with his cerebral score, which alternates between airy synth sketches and urgent orchestral suites."
Instantly after its public release Gary's soundtrack became the most downloaded game or film related music on CNET's popular music download site DOWNLOAD.COM and for months remained in the top 50 for all music categories. In July of that same year the BBC featured the track Winds of Change on their top-rated Top Gear television program, a show with a reputation for showcasing some of the best of new and established music.
Gary most recently worked for Sony Pictures in their Games Studio in Culver City and later for Sony Online Entertainment based in San Diego. He recently relocated to the UK just outside London where he works for the BBC while continuing to work on new game and film projects.
"The Yellow Album" is the first collection of music ever created entirely with a single Korg Kaossilator handheld synthesizer. Gary produced this after receiving one of the first units sold in the UK in late 2007. After receiving over 200,000 downloads Korg has since recognized "The Yellow Album" as an effective promotional tool for the device and provides a link to it on their site.

Below is a segment from a July 2006 episode of the BBC's "Top Gear" programme where "Winds of Change" was featured as the finale music in Richard Hammond's review of the Noble M15. The piece was preceded by some excellent musical company - several bits of tracks from Amon Tobin, Muse and others.
