Gary Coble’s unique soulful style and Commanding stage presence has earned him the nickname of “Salty Dawg”, which he acquired while performing in Kansas City. The Dawg has been paired him with the likes of Les McCann, Hound Dog Taylor, Vernon Garrett and Bill Black – just to name a few. Among the daily praise he receives from his fans, the Salty Dawg has also earned the respect of Bruce Igliauer, President of Alligator Records (Koko Taylor, Luther Allison, Robert Cray, Charlie Musselwhite), who finds his current CD project “quite an enjoyable surprise”. Whether performing a breathtaking Stevie Wonder ballad, down and dirty slide blues, or laying down his own smoking tracks in the studio, the Salty Dawg continues to enchant audiences with his gleaming guitar.

I had my marketing cap on about a week ago and with all the bad news; the Taliban in Pakistan, the looming Chyrsler bankruptcy, the new flu epidemic, etc; I decided to go with a more optimistic theme for this summer in a bumper sticker (old school). I think its working. There are currently a little more than 50 cars in the Branson area sporting this lil’ beauty. (Yes, I comped them) What do you think?
