GAS CHAMBER MELODIES LP
Pierwszy prawdziwy zespół emo violence na polskiej scenie hc/punk. Muzycznie Gas Chamber Melodies czerpał inspiracje z pionierów emo violence z Amherst i Tampy, lecz dodawał do tego swój charakterystyczny sznyt - jazgotliwe gitary, połamaną perkusję, niewyobrażalny wrzask. Teksty dotyczyły różnorakich tematów - od kwestii społeczno-politycznych po rozczarowanie rodzajem ludzkim.
GCM istniało od 2002 do 2005 roku, czyli w okresie silnego rozkwitu sceny okołolubelskiej (na terenie takich miast jak Lublin, Puławy czy Kurów istniało wówczas kilkadziesiąt kapel, których składy się mocno mieszały - by wymienić tylko dla przykładu Silence, Juliette, Unanymous Society Paradox, Crush All Fakes, Creation Of Hell, Dreams From The Sleeping Sky). Zespół zagrał ponad 30 koncertów, z czego prawie połowę poza granicami Polski (na wspólnej trasie z Silence jesienią 2004, na której ich nazwa wywołała niemałe zamieszanie, szczególnie w krajach niemieckojęzycznych).
W 2004 ukazała się jedyna płyta w dorobku zespołu, wydana na CDR przez nieistniejący już Lagart Factory. Krążek, który zawierał 11 numerów, został bardzo szybko wyprzedany (po części z powodu niskiego nakładu). Płyta winylowa wydana przez Yama Dori oraz Teeth To Concrete zawiera 13 kawałków, czyli całą sesję nagraniową z wiosny 2004 roku (S/t CDR + 2 niepublikowane dotąd numery). Do płyty dołączony jest także 28 stronicowy booklet. Ukazała się także wersja limitowana z dodatkową okładką wykonaną z płótna lnianego oraz plakatem z pożegnalnego koncertu (będącego zarazem release party płyty).

The very first genuine emo violence band on Polish hc/punk scene. Gas Chamber Melodies were strongly inspired by the pioneers of emo violence from Amherst and Tampa, nevertheless they added it’s own characteristic style: strident guitars, chaotic beats, unbelievable scream. The lyrics touched a variety of things, from sociopolitical issues to disappointment with human kind.
GCM existed since 2002 till 2005, in the days when the scene around Lublin was in full bloom (in the cities like Lublin, Puławy or Kurów there were several dozen of bands with mixed line-ups, for instance Silence, Juliette, Unanymous Society Paradox, Crush All Fakes, Creation Of Hell, Dreams From The Sleeping Sky). The band played over 30 gigs, half of them abroad on a tour with Silence during the autumn of 2004. The name of the band caused a good deal of confusion, especially in Germany and German speaking countries.
In 2004 they released their only album, it was put out by Lagart Factory – non-existent anymore. The album included 11 tracks and it was sold out really quickly, partly because of really small edition. LP released by Yama Dori and Teeth to Concrete includes 13 tracks – the whole recording session of the spring 2004 (S/t CDR + 2 songs not published before). Moreover, LP includes 28pages booklet. There’s also a limited edition with a limited linen cover and a poster for both a release party of LP and a farewell gig of the band.

Not easy job but we must stand :P In my country there are rly few people who listen skramz =/Not even a band...Just many many fashion core emos and scene whores... But, yeah, skram (h) The prettiest music ever!
