Gogol Bordello meets Kaizers Orchestra meets System of a down. This explosive mixture makes you jump out of your office chair, rushing to one of Gasmac Gilmore..s upcoming live-shows.

Gasmac Gilmore are kown for their spectacular guerilla-shows in the metro or at the Danube canal.
After the splatter-animation-video featuring the single ‘Zirkus’ in 2004 and the album “little Lucy” (2006), Gasmac Gilmore present their new album “about boys and dogs” (VÖ:20.06.08 Walter/Sony BMG)
About killing mommies and dying matadors. What starts harmless occasionally ends in a meeting with the grim reaper. He is well known as a listless guy, but this band will make his dusted bones shaking too. The mix between hard played guitars and freshening Balkan-beats animate the listener’s body’s extremities to incontinent dancing – whether alone, with the crowd or in the metro.

The Viennese band crosses stylistic borders between East and West, bubbles over with catchy riffs and weird hooklines while bridging the gaps between gentle ballads and unrestrained BalkanRock, between furious Punk salvos and humorous-grotesque folklore attacks. On stage Gasmac Gilmore guarantee absurd dances and mad breaks at spontaneous concert such as those in the Viennese subway or on a ship at the Danube canal.
For the new album Gasmac Gilmore changed parts of their line-up: guitarist Elias Berner joined the band while guest musicians Martin Schiske (Trombone, No Head on My Shoulders) and Florian Berner (Cello, Hugo Wolf Quartet) extended the musical range. The results of the experiment unite danceable BalkanPunk, Rock and Ska with uncommon instruments such as mandolin, accordion, trombone and cello.
I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time yesterday. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a tune called Run Bobby Run:
