| General | Stories. Anything that makes me laugh or makes me think. Deep conversations with people who are open to dialogue. Good music, good movies, good books, good comics, good TV. 63-67 degree days with light cloud cover and the day off from work. Ancient civilizations, psychology, and a good drink once in a while. | | Music | Evanescence is my favorite band right now, immediately followed by Within Temptation - I love orchestra, hard rock, and female vocals, which means they stick the landing. Linkin Park is another great band. Jewel, Guns N Roses, Billy Joel, Panic! At The Disco, Kenny Rogers, Jaymie Gerard, Metallica, Matchbox 20, Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, and Rob Zombie all rate up there with the favorites. Orchestral composers I like are Howard Shore (who did Lord of the Rings, among others), John Williams (Star Wars, Superman, etc) and John Ottman. | | Movies | Jaws is in the top spot these days. Then Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Empire Strikes Back, Halloween, Memento, The Ring, 40 Year-Old Virgin, Se7en, Casablanca, It's A Wonderful Life, Airplane, The Lord of the Rings, The Silence of the Lambs, Billy Madison, Wedding Crashers, The Incredibles, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Star Wars, Dawn of the Dead (the remake... something to say?), Slither, The Usual Suspects, Vertigo, Aliens, Alien, Iron Man, Batman Begins, Spider-Man, and too many more to think of at this moment. | | Television | Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Angel as a combined unit is my favorite all-time show. Also into the original Twilight Zone and Outer Limits. Right now I watch: Dexter, Chuck, Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles, Burn Notice, The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, Family Guy, Lost, Rules of Engagement, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Supernatural, and Robot Chicken when it's on. | | Books | Fahrenheit 451, 1984, The Hero With 1000 Faces, Red Dragon, The Analects of Confucius, The Dark Tower, Fearful Symmetry (Kraven's Last Hunt), Preacher, Daredevil: Born Again, Ultimate Spider-Man, Y: The Last Man, Starman, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, The Silence of the Lambs, Green Lantern: The Sinestro Corps War. | | Heroes | Joseph Campbell, Confucius, Stephen Colbert, Steven Spielberg, Stephen King, Rick Yost, Mike Hauck, Ian Golding, and my old man, the Doc. All of whom had an idea to be something or to say something, ran with it, and keep on running. |

About me:
With the exception of a self-imposed 2-year hiatus from any kind of production work, I've been doing some kind of movie work - be it writing, shooting, or editing - for 3 decades. I did some time up at Emerson College in Boston back in the early 90's, and I'm currently finishing that degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. Over the last decade, operating first as DINER NOTES PRODUCTIONS and then as GAS MONEY FILMS, I produced a series of promotional videos for local bands, a few short movies, a couple of commercials, and a feature motion picture. I set these things aside in 2006 in order to focus on family and homefront responsibilities, but in 2008 I stepped back into video as GAS MONEY PRODUCTIONS. Beginning with some work for local non-profits, local musicians, and small businesses, the future is an exciting one!
