    SouthGate was completely formed during the summer of 2007. Since the beginning, their roots have always derived from the purest forms of metal. With their complex theatrical approach to writing music they have managed to raise the bar for unsigned progressive metal bands. Deemed a sleeping giant until recently, SouthGate is not only looking to get recognized, they are looking to take over with the release of thier new EP "The Failing". SouthGate's relentless wave of heavy riffs combined with off the wall psychedelic tendencies, amount to something that is truly unique.
