The Energy Saving Trust Gateway to the Tall Ships promises 4 fun filled days of family entertainment in Custom House Square, Belfast from Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th August, 2009.
As the Gateway to the massive maritime event that is ‘The Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge’, Custom House Square will showcase the best, newest and most exciting talent in Belfast, right when the eyes of the World are on the city.
The event’s daytime entertainment from 12 noon to 6pm is completely FREE. It will welcome Belfast residents and visitors with an eclectic celebration of global influences including Irish, Mexican and Indian traditions, New Orleans style jazz, as well as contemporary sounds.
There will be bar and catering facilities as well as plenty to amuse the kids with face painting, kite making, and rides on mini diggers, to name only a few things in store.
Evening programmes run daily from 8pm to midnight. Tickets cost £12 and are available from the Belfast Welcome Centre, online or in person (tel. 028 9024 6609).
