Thanks for visiting our MySpace page! The band GA†HERED BY GRACE really came about from 2 musicians who shared a love for the Lord and a love of music. I’m Chris, and have been writing songs, playing piano and singing for years. I’ve played with various bands in venues (weddings, bars, concerts) around Richmond performing songs ranging from Patsy Cline to Grateful Dead and Neil Young to Elton John, Journey, Bonnie Raitt and Sheryl Crow. Musical influences and bands I like include: Aretha, Sheryl Crow, Ella Fitzgerald, Eva Cassidy, Ginny Owens, Police, Journey, Elton, Older stuff by Sting, dcTalk, Audio Adrenaline, Queen, Evanescence, Casting Crowns, Darlene Zschech.
In 2001, I shifted gears and began volunteering in a band at a local church in Richmond, VA and have been serving there ever since. I thank God every day for the gift of music!
Jeff Fortunato got his start playing solo guitar in middle school. He would listen to Zeppelin, Hendrix, Van Halen, SRV and AC/DC LP's over and over trying to copy every lick. Once in high school, he hooked up with some other musicians and played with them through high school and into college, playing "battle of the bands" and parties, wherever they could. I met Jeff at our church in December 2001, as he was invited to sit in on a practice. We have been leading worship together and creating music ever since.

For our recording project, “Follow You”, we were blessed to be gathered by grace with local musicians: Blaine Dunnavant on vocals, David Winslow on bass, and Matt Gordon on drums. This CD is a compilation of songs written to accompany our senior pastor’s Scriptural themes, as well as other Scriptures we’ve found meaningful.
