Gathering of Nations

For the 7th consecutive year, the Red Thunder Rolling motorcycle journey to the Gathering of Nations will take place on April 27, and will be arriving at the Pit at approximately 2pm for anyone wanting to see approximately 200+ bikes roaring into the Pit parking lot. Each year the the motorcycle ride benefits a worthy cause to bring attention to grass roots endeavors that promotes family and community. Previous rides have raised funding to support memorial scholarship funds for surviving children of workers, military care package project during the holiday season, and last year, a donation for the Navajo Code Talker Museum Project. This year, Red Thunder Rolling will raise funds by the sale of biker T-shirts to support the ongoing development of the Chichiltah Veterans Park, 15 miles south of Gallup, New Mexico. This park was the vision of Patrick Arthur in dedication to his father and all other fallen veterans and families as a place of memorial and healing. Please visit Chichiltah Veterans Park on Facebook where you can help the family continue its development of the park. The park is rapidly becoming a destination for many veterans who seek prayer, healing, and camaraderie of their brothers and sisters. Patrick Arthur, founder, encourages Tribes to donate their Tribal Flag to be flown at the park, and to submit names of deceased veterans who will eventually be represented on the wall that continues to be under construction.
