Hi the songs "Heart Burn" & "Reap the Wind" are 2 of 15 songs I've written & recorded on a portastudio recently. All the Instruments & Vocals are performed by me I hope you like them.-****************************************************************- The song "In my face" was written & recorded by me. Mike Sneyd played Bass Guitar, Martyn Austin played Drums & I played all other instruments & Vocals-****************************************************************-The songs:-"Firebird", "Gothic Horror", "Where are you now", "Heart Burn 2", "Tattoo on my back", "Give it up for Love", "Sandcastles in the air" & "Out of her mind" Were written & recorded By myself. Martyn Austin Played Drums & Percussion. I played all other Instruments & Vocals- ****************************************************************-I've been re-recording Most of my songs so that I've now got a drummer called Martyn Austin Performing on them instead of the the drum machine from my keyboards. Martyn also performs with me when we go live. He also Performs with "The Medusa Seducers"-****************************************************************-I've been performing Mostly at open mike nights In & around the Chippenham & Swindon area Under the band name "Unseen Eye" so that I can play-test my songs on a live audience. -**********************************************************************- The first Instrument I learned to play was the Flute. A wonderful old Gentleman called Stan Gleeve gave me private lessons at his home in Bristol once week for about two & a half years. He had performed with the London Symphony Orchestra the Welsh Philharmonic Orchestra a BBC Welsh Orchestra & The Ted Heath big band. He also gave me my first lesson on the tenor Sax. -****************************************************************-The first band I was in was called "Zenith" I played Flute, David Roberts played Guitar, Chris Foot played Bass guitar & another Chris played Drums. I was about 13.5 years of age this band only performed in Bath.-****************************************************************-The photo is of a band called "Manifest" performing at the Bath festival many years ago. I was age 15 at the time. I'm playing the flute & tenor sax. Nick Bara was on drums, Fred playing bass guitar Steve Ellie on Keyboards & Steve Just out of shot on lead guitar. There was also a roady called Bruce & a lady called Lynne who managed the band both of whom worked hard for the band. The main claim to fame of this band was that Peter Gabriel Came down to the Percy boys club rehearsal studio & listen to us play. He liked our music & told us to get a demo tape done. Unfortunately there was no where in bath at that time to record & we couldn't afford to go to a big recording studio so no demo was forth coming.-****************************************************************-I played in a band called "Strand" I Played flute & sax, Malcolm Stratford played drums, Rob Simmons played 12 string acoustic guitar & vocals, Kevin Mott played lead guitar. There was also a lad called Guy who use to roady for the band he also did a flame act In which he was Like a Human flamethrower he went on to perform with "Hot Dog Jackson rocking boggy aces". One of the strange things about the band was that every so often they would grab hold of the lead guitarist & shaved his legs. They also had a tea fixation I can remember Rob telling me about Kev committing sacrilege when he broke the spout off the tea pot. they were a fun band to play with. -****************************************************************-I use to Perform In "The Walrus & the Carpenter" Restaurant in Bath with Fred from Manifest. He played acoustic guitar & vox, I played flute.-****************************************************************- A Jazz Rock Band I played with was called "the Just Untitled Band" I Only performed about 5-6 Gigs with them. One of the strange things about the band was the 2 Orange 4x12" P.A. speaker columns they owned had originally belonged to Manifest & that the drummer with the band used to lift them 1 at a time on to his shoulder & carry them out to the van I think it was all the 10-60 beer that he drank that gave him the strength to do it.-****************************************************************- I also played with a band call "Gadgets" who were originally called "White Wing" I first Joined them to do a Demo recording at Crescent studios of a song called,"Love is through the mirror" For a gent called Alex. I Played flute, alto & tenor sax & backing Vocals. "Yvonne Helen" vocals ( she wrote the Lyrics for the songs we performed) "Tone" on drums.a very good Guitarist who's name escapes me for the moment & a keyboard player called "Chris fisher" Who later formed Naked eyes, & then Climie Fisher. We Recorded another 4 songs at Crescent Studios & sent them of to various Labels but didn't get a contract out of it. One of it's best gigs we played was at a place call the Weston Hotel in Bath. We did a 45 minute on-core of reggyfied Christmas songs as One long medley. the crowd loved it -****************************************************************-Another band I performed with was the "A.T's" Pronounced the eighty's they asked me to perform with them on a BBC show called the R.P.M. show that was hosted by a gent named Andy Batten-Foster. I only had the night before the show to learn the sax parts of the songs they had recorded. (Is there any archive Footage of this show any where?)-****************************************************************-I also Performed at Sweeny Todds Restaurant in bath with an American Gentleman Called Gerry. He play guitar & vox & I played flute. Most of the songs we Played were covers of American country rock songs. We also performed at the Fairford Air-force base which at the time had American military Refueling planes stationed there. It was a strange gig to play partly Because they thought we were going to perform Country & Weston Music to them. -****************************************************************-Another Band I played with was called "Red Red Black" the band showed some promise but only ever played in Bath & surrounding area. Quin Played Guitar & vox Nigel was on lead guitar Quins brother played drums & I played sax & flute-***************************************************************-

I like all forms of music & I like the works of so many performers that I haven't got enough time or space to list them all.
  • Sounds Like

I try to sound like myself. I don't like the idea of being stuck in a convenient little box Because I don't want to find myself confined to one type of music only.
