Pinning down Gavin Herlihy isn't easy. Only three years into his production career, his discography ranges from the epic techno of his acclaimed debut ‘Machine Ate My Homework’ to his recent excursions on Cocoon and Cadenza.
Whether house or techno his tracks have consistently earned praise from tastemakers like Luciano, Sven Väth or Laurent Garnier and earned him bookings at Berlin's Panorama Bar, Watergate and Bar 25, London's Circo Loco and TDK Cross Central festival, Amsterdam's Studio 80, Munich’s Registratur, Italy's Kama Kama, Brazil’s Warung Club and D’Edge, Manchester's Tribal Sessions, Spain’s Nitsa as well as a residency for Bristol/London based party Bump.
Now living in Berlin, the Irish born, one time Londoner was tipped by Carl Cox to be one of his Heroes of 2009 on his Global radio show at the start of the year. Since his move to Berlin he has released EPs and tracks on Leftroom, Paradigma, Get Physical, Kindisch, Cocoon and Cadenza. As a remixer he's turned his hand to tracks by artists like UNKLE and Sasse as well as remixed for labels like Bauns, Meerestief, Fade and Get Physical.
In June he submitted a mix for the hugely influential Ibiza Voice podcast series adding to a long list of mixes he's created for stations and podcasts like London's taste making Allez Allez, Berlin’s Electronic Beats Radio, Carl Cox's Global radio show, Kiss 100, Galaxy FM among others.
Prior to his current career in production he worked as a journalist starting his career as an intern at CNN in Atlandta before writing his first features for broadsheet newspapers like the Irish Independent and the Scotsman. He spent seven years working for the electronic music bible Mixmag introducing it’s readers to future stars such as Luciano, Loco Dice or veterans like Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin or Laurent Garnier. He has been interviewed as a dance culture pundit on ITV News, Channel 4 News, BBC News 24, BBC 1 News at 6 to name a few.

KD025 - Glimpse & Alex Jones 'True Friends' OUT NOW!..
.. ..
‘True Friends’ pumps right from the beginning with a chunky rolling kick drum only made denser by the thick brushing percussion that surrounds it. Before the beats become too overwhelming a soothing male vocals drifts in reminding how hard it is these days to find a true friend. A stark tune of epic proportions...
Nice ! love true friends. Support Jan Prins .. Wow! Berlin deephouse has come of age! True Friends is gorgeous. Close to perfect...full support. Deepchild .. Cambria is very cool, will play D’Jul ..
