About gavin slate

Gavin Slate is a singer/songwriter hailing from Toronto, Ontario. His stripped down style combines elements of folk with that of melancholic-pop creating a style that has been coined “Lullaby Rock”. Gavin’s song “Failed Again” will be featured on upcoming Dutch Idol, Nikki Kerkhof’s, debut album scheduled to be released November 2008 on Sony/BMG. He is also no stranger to the stage having fronted a one-year weekly songwriters-circle at The Unicorn in Toronto and recently finishing up a tour of Nashville, TN. He continues to play in and around the Toronto scene sharing the stage with up and coming locals including Justin Nozuka, Lindi Ortega and Dawn Langstroth. Gavin looks to be the next one out of this growing breed of Toronto songwriters.

I have ton's of footage of my live shows for the past three years. I just need to edit some and put it up on the web. I even have video footage of me playing at CBGB's in NYC right before they closed down forever. I have been meaning to do it, but you know how that goes. There is always stuff to do. Anyway, after seeing that I really wish you could be down here in Nashville to perform it at The Bluebird Cafe in June. Great job man. God bless. John
