Sounds Like
I sing songs about my life. I'm inspired by my experiences, the experiences of my friends and our ever intertwining lives. In my head I sound like me...Come see me and decide for yourself
I was born on the 12th May 1977.
I am 31 year old singer/guitarist/songwriter.
I joined my first band at the age of 17 and was lucky enough at the age of 21 to meet legendary producer Mickie Most. He produced many, many successful bands such as Herman's Hermits, The Animals, Hot Chocolate. Suzi Quatro, Mud, The Sweet, Kim Wilde and Jeff Beck.
I spent the next 4 years at RAK studios in St John's Wood learning about songwriting and crafting my trade under the guidance of the great man himself.
I was signed to RAK publishing in 2001 and continued to write and record songs for my debut album until Mickie unfortunately passed away in 2003
All of my experience through the years has been gained on the live/touring/recording circuit. I have had no formal training.
Over the years I have been very lucky to work with many fabulous musicians including Steve Harley, Chaz Jankel (The Blockheads), Henry Preistman (The Christians), Felim Gormley (The Commitments), Phil Cranham (Hot Chocolate).
I have sung pubs, clubs, arenas, stadiums and concert halls across the land. In covers bands, in dance acts, in acoustic bands, not in marching bands yet.
Most recently I formed a band with 2 friends called "The Mercurymen" we were signed to Sony BMG in spring of 2008 and are currently working on our debut album.
In promoting the album I have toured extensively around the UK playing many venues including The Royal Albert Hall. We toured with Deacon Blue, Level 42, Sinead O Connor and Melody Gardot.
My songwriting collaborations include, Tom Gilbert (Sandi Thom) Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue) Steve Harley, Henry Preistman (The Christians) Anna Krantz.

just a note to let you know Jon is playing @ The Bedford in March. If you are not busy I hope you'll consider coming along to the gig and would love to see you there if you do.
I found her stuff on myspace and really liked it so I added her, we sent a couple of comments to each other as she has recorded at the Guildhall like myself.
