Hello, we’re GayCo Productions. You may have seen one of the many sketch comedy shows that we’ve performed all over the world. Or perhaps you’re one of our ex-boyfriends or girlfriends, Googling us to see what we’re up to lately. Or maybe you live in Nebraska, and you just did a search on "gay" to remind yourself that you’re not alone in the world. However you found us - welcome!
• We were all atwitter at the Miss Looptopia Pageant. The cocktail party served as an official kick-off event for Looptopia and featured GayCo and other Chicago celebs in an interactive, improvisational "beauty pageant." The event entertained over 700 Chicagoans, earned bundles of press coverage and freaked out Janet Davies. Kudos to GayCo artistic associate Steve Hickson (AKA "Miss Lower Wacker Drive") for taking home the tiara.
• GayCo recently disembarked from performing on our very first RSVP cruise, the Caribbean Fantasy. It was a non-stop floating party! For those of you who have never experienced an RSVP vacation (or for those of you weary of vacationing with straight people) this is an event not to be missed. Thanks to the sexy folks at RSVP and Funny Boy Films for giving us this amazing opportunity.
• Currently, GayCo is busy unpacking, after moving into our new home at the Center on Halsted. The brand new Center opened this summer and be "a focal point for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community of Chicago, serving the community’s diverse social, recreational, cultural, and social service needs." Not just that thing on top of Whole Foods.

About me: GayCo Productions is a not-for-profit theatre ensemble that specializes in creating sketch-comedy revues based on gay/lesbian themes. Since starting as a lesbigay focused workshop at the Second City Training Center in 1996, we've performed for massive, enthusiastic, sexy gay audiences in Chicago and across the country.

Success might go to our hair, but it doesn't go to our head - you can often catch GayCo performing at Chicago functions, fundraisers, and high-visibility events. We maintain a commitment to our beloved Chicago audience - mostly because they're packed with potential dates, and crabby ex-girlfriends.

Think Globally:
These small-town kids know how to get out of town. We've performed across the country, and even at the 1996 Gay Games in Amsterdam and this year at the Gay Games in Chicago! GayCo has performed all over from P-town, Key West, New York, Los Angeles and Eureka Springs, Arkansas. And we are working on major mega-deals. It's all very hush-hush. It's that big. Even bigger, whatever it is... but it might happen. I mean, who really knows, you know? But still... it's on the DL.

Spotlight Seeks Actress to Fill the Role of Bianca in Lesbian Interpretation of William Shakespeare's Othello. Actress should be between the ages of 18-40.
This is an exciting opportunity for those involved. I guarantee you won't find another show like this! The play takes place in modern day at a marketing firm in Venice Beach, California. Othello's coworkers are shocked to learn that Othello and Desdemona have gone to Canada to be married. What's so unusual about that? Well, Othello and Desdemona are both women!
Be a part of this tragic classic, newly reinterpreted to address an issue that has urgent relevance today!
Rehearsals are Mondays, Thursdays and Friday evenings: 6:30PM-9:30PM in Oak Forest, IL.
The show will take place on January 11-13 and January 18-19 at Governors State University in University Park, IL. There is no pay but there will be a free DVD of the show provided to all cast members.
