Sounds Like
Early cloudy mornings with the fog seeping through the firs. You were sad for a long time for all the real reasons, but the spirit lifted you up, your face alight with the moon, and showed even though we never win in this world, we have to fight or else we're fucked.

Gay Deceivers were formed over a dance contest in 1986. Haley and Sarah tied for first place. Fast forward 10 years when they were unfairly banned after laying waste to the West Hartford town hall. Fast forward 10 more years to Portland, Oregon, where this divine duo crossed paths once again and received celestial transmissions from another dimension. Listen, but be forewarned. These sounds are not for the uninitiated, so bend over, bitch.
“The lady duo’s lo-fi aesthetic recalls Raincoats-style punk or early K Records, but the pair has a cuckoo edge as well, like the Fiery Furnaces in Mary Timony’s drunken dream. Sure, it doesn’t sound like everyone’s cup of tea, but there’s potential in the songs for a captivating performance…” Willamette Week
"The ghost of Brian Wilson says, "As many hits as we scored I wish our experimental stuff had been further off the page. Y'know, weirder. It's too late now but if I could've done something more like the Gay Decei—wait. Hold on. I'm not dead. Am I? I honestly can't tell."-Portland Mercury
