Gayle has made such an impact on this world and we hope that we can continue to keep her memory alive through stories and music and faith and most of all; love.
Hello. We have created this memorial page for our cousin Gayle Dubowski, who was one of the victims of the NIU shootings on February 14, 2008.
We, Alisha Balogi, George Balogi, and Christian Ramaker wrote and recorded a song for our late cousin within the 3 days before her funeral. The song is called "Hey Love (Gayle's Song)".
In her memory, the song will be available for purchase and all profits will be donated to HOPE worldwide, her favorite charity. Gayle was passionate about learning the Russian language so that through HOPE worldwide she could volunteer at the orphanages in Russia during the summer of 2008. We are now passionate about making Gayle’s hopes and dreams of helping Russian children in need come true.

I just wanted to say thank you for making this page and to extend a Happy Birthday to Gayle *packages a hug to send to Heaven for God to give to Gayle* Gayle I love you and I miss you!
You all are truly wonderful. It's really tragic that it takes such sorrow and hardship for people to realize the beauty in life. What's cool is...Music always seems to heal everything. And for those that wrote Hey Love...you all have a very special gift. It's nice to know that at least a few of us realize what we have BEFORE it's gone, rather than afterward. I give my most sincere condolences for your loss. You are all in my prayers.
And so are the families of the others who have lost loved ones in this tragedy. I've forwarded the url for this site to the other members of Stop Me Short. We send you all hugs and hope.
