About me:
My name is Gayle Richardson and I've been a portrait photographer for 18 years, the last 13 have been out of my home in Kirkland.
I have 4 kids ranging in age from 18 to 4 years old and they are the focus and joy in my life. As a parent it is my job to raise them to be good stewards in the world.
I volunteer as a photographer for K.I.T.H. a non-profit organization that combats homelessness on the Eastside. They allow me to document their growth and the ways they are effecting change in the community I raise my kids in.
In the summer of 2007 I was fortunate enough to be able to go with a group to the Gulf Coast for a week to work on the immense task of rebuilding homes destroyed and damaged by Hurricane Katrina. It was 7 days that will change the rest of my life. I still struggle to find words to describe it but I can tell my story with my photographs.
I love what I do and I feel the people I photograph benefit from that. I bring my experiences as a mom, my understanding of family and my humor to my work.
