About this page: I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D

have you ever been in a place where you can see a clear path,yet the blinders of others sees nothing but roadblocks, rocky ways ...?
have you ever felt freedom of spirit ... while those bound by chains try to keep you a slave...?
have you ever taken two steps forward & three back ...knowing the person's trying to pull the rug from beneath you...?
have you ever known in your soul the right path ... yet some around you want to litter the path with shame guilt or fear ... ?
have you ever had passion for a goal, dream,plan that your Higher power placed in your hands...while others react like Horton hears a who ?
as a wild womyn free for many years ... i have seen & felt the pains that come with standing up for wimmins community... while building sisterhood... sometimes its hard being a voice working towards better ways for wimmin in the heartland... that's why Wimmin in the Woodstock is so important ... this coming together feeling & seeing the power of sisterhood... knowing: our voices, our souls ,our spirits aren't alone... Starting this Friday, March 6th, at 6pm UCCFF (on A and Jackson) will be hosting "For the Bible Tells Me So". "For the Bible Tells Me So" is a 2007 documentary about homosexuality and its perceived conflict with religion, as well as various interpretations of what the Bible says about same-sex sexuality. There is no charge, and everyone is welcome to join the open discussion. There will be a second viewing and discussion on Friday, March 13th at 6pm.
