Who I'd like to meet:
According to a recent survey done by the NEPA Rainbow Alliance and GayNEPA.com, more than 35% of respondents have been a parent or served as a parenting role. More than 30% intend to become a parent (or have additional children) in the future.
Rainbow Alliance board of directors member Amy Black has two sons, ages 3 and 13, and will be leading a parenting discussion group. The group will meet at 7 p.m. on September 20th at the Twelve Penny Saloon in Moosic.
“I am very aware of the needs and concerns we as GLBT parents have, and am excited to begin the process of forming a parents group in NEPA,“ said Black. “If you can’t attend but have input, please contact us and let us know.”
