About me:
Welcome to GazeRock Nation, the 'unofficial' fanclub for American GazettE fans.
This is for all GazettE fans to gather here for one interest, to get the GazettE to tour the U.S.
We're not affiliated in any way with the band, or PSCompany this site is purely run by fans.
Our goal is to get 2,000 members added on this page before we send the petition to the GazettE. Yes thats a lot of members but with your help it wont take long.
So to be able to accomplish that goal fairly quickly we need your help.
Tell your friends, post banners and links on forums you go to, and put banners on your myspace. The only way this site will be a success is active members spreading the word and helping us out. Without you this site would just be another idea that never got a chance to be something big.
HISTORY OF THE GAZETTE
When Karasu the band that Uruha and Reita were in disbanded, Ruki who was drummer in another band named Mikoto in Yokohama got them to join Ma'die Kussë, but that group disbanded. The three of them formed a new band called Kar+te=zyAnose, in which Ruki became the vocalist. Only after three months that group also disbanded, deciding if the next group didn't work out, Ruki would give up on performing. Reita, Uruha, Ruki, with Yune on drums formed the first line up of Gazette. Reita had stated that four members were enough, so they began to work, have lives and photoshoots. Deciding that the sound was two weak without a second guitar player, they found Aoi, in February 2002. Aoi was in the band Arita with Yune before it disbanded, the official group formed on March 10th, 2002.
They then signed a contract with Matina Label releasing thier first single Wakaremichi and VHS in Apirl 2002. By September they had realesed to more singles and another VHS, they gave their first one-man concert in October 2002. On January 21st, 2003 Yune decided to leave for reasons unknown, he was asked by the other members of Gazette to find someone to replace him. The replacement, though pretty good at playing did not agree with the views of Gazette, so they decided to look for a drummer themselves.
Kai's band, Mareydi†Creia had no success in its future therefore it disbanded. He didn't want to form a new band but hoped to join a existing one. Kai attended a Gazette live he found it pretty cool, so after the live Kai and Ruki exchanged numbers. After showing the other members his skills and liking what they saw, Kai joined the band February 1st, 2003. Soon after in March they signed up with PS Company label, and in May the released their first mini-album Cockayne Soup. They then started their first tour with Hanamuke, in which they collaborated on two songs. A second tour followed with the band Vidoll, and were featured together on the November cover of Cure.
In early December the played a two man live with deadman, on December 28th they performed at Beauti-fool's Fest '03 organized by Fool's Mate magazine with the bands; D'espairsRay, MUCC, deadman, Miyavi, lab., Kra, DAIGO STARDUST, Merry, Gullet, and Pink Halleluja which was later turned into a DVD. January 16th, 2004 they had a one man live at the Shibuya-AX, which was recorded and released on DVD as Tokyo Saihan ~Judgement Day~ 2004-04-28. Also on the day of the DVD release it created a foundation for the official Gazette fanclub, Heresy. On March 30th, 2004 they released their MADARA mini-album which reached #2 on the Oricon Indie Chart. In May it was followed by a companion DVD which featured six pvs and in studio documentary. The same month Gazette was featured in Shoxx magazine's Expect Rush III, then in August a second live DVD, Heisei Banka was released. During September and October they had a tour with fellow PS Company bands Kra and bis.
Their first full length album Disorder was released on October 13th, 2004 and listed in the top 5 on the Oricon Daily Charts. The band spent the rest of 2004 and some of 2005 touring, releasing another mini-album, GAMA in August. In December the first major label single Cassis was released. Starting with a name change in 2006, from Japanese kanji to romanized script, they released their second full lenth album NIL on February 8th, 2006. The GazettE had another tour, Standing Live Tour 2006 [Nameless Liberty Six Guns...] Tour Final that started in February 2006. July 28th-30th, 2006 they performed their first two lives out of Asia, at the Beethovenhalle in Bonn, Germany for about 800 people. The concerts were arranged in sync with the AnimagiC anime and manga convention.
The GazettE then had their Decompoaition Beauty Tour that began on November 28th in Sapporo, Japan and ended December 24th, 2006 in Osaka, Japan. Three singles were then released only a few months from each other, REGRET (2006-10-25), Filth in the Beauty (2006-11-01), and Hyena (2007-02-07). Followed by the album Stacked Rubbish on July 4th, 2007 which reached #2 on the Oricon Indie Chart within days of its release. After its debut it followed by a promotional tour that ran from July through September. The GazettE started their first European tour in October, stopping England, Finland, France, and Germany.
The song Chizuru, was included on the soundtrack for the horor film Apartment, and the Chizuru PV featured clips from the movie. On February 13th, 2008 the single Guren was released which landed #1 spot on the Oricon Indie Charts. August 6th, 2008 a new DVD was released titled Stacked Rubbish Grand Finale [Repeated Countless Error], it was announced that a new single will be released this Autumn.
