Gazillion writes in rhymes and riddles, for those of you that like music to make you think. Gazillion plays particularly, for those of you that like music to make you feel. Gazillion mostly plays folk songs. Everyone at least agrees that they are songs. Marshall, Simon, Yasmina and John love to make music (especially with Anthony), and hope that you love to listen to it.
Our new record will be done by the end of summer, and then we hope to get it out to as many people as we can, and we earnestly thank you all for the support.
I just wanted to stop by and wish you a happy Saturday! May the weekend bring you fun adventures, relaxation, and total contentment :)
I was going to go camping this weekend, but this is definitely NOT camping weather. So me and some friends are gonna go check out Dueling Pianos. Those guys are amazing - they can play just about any song that's been on the radio between 1950 and 2005.
Anyways, I wanted to let you know about a show we have @ Station 4 on Friday, October 16th. We are debuting a series of one time only performance art pieces. This one is called "AN OBJECT TO CRAVE". Live music and visuals based on a short story about life, love, loss, fantasy, obsession and death.
Another group of mine, The Magnetrons, which plays an exciting and innovative Livetronica set (i.e. STS9, Disco Biscuits, The Histronic) will also be playing. The night will be full of creative, interesting, high-energy music, good drinks and good times.
Here's the info:
Blood Root Mother - "An Object to Crave" w/ The Magnetrons & Thought Thieves Friday, October 16th Station 4 201 E 4th St St Paul, MN 55101 9pm / $5 / 18+
I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time a few days ago. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a new tune called Run Bobby Run:

A brutal night of original music, and a chance for fans to lay down their support for live broadcasting of independents in the twin cities. Monday, March 2. Kitty Cat. Hope you are there for the party.
The new track is incredible, and I can't wait to hear the whole thing! Keep up the great work, I'm spreading the word as much as physically possible. You're my facebook status at the moment, btw.
Hey fellow St. Paul-ians,
We'd like to spread the word about a cool new gig we have at the Black Dog Coffee and Wine Bar in Lowertown, St. Paul. We'll be playing each Wednesday around 7PM and will be bringing in inspired bands, poets, speakers, and more, each week as guest performers with us. The first one is January 21st, and is all ages each week. Thanks! - Graham (http://www. blackdogstpaul. com/events/news-109. shtml)
