About The Groundbreaking Ceremony (Twitter.com/GBCtwits)
From our humble beginning in 2005, we in the Groundbreaking Ceremony have taken great pride in being a 100% DIY band. Every tour, every recording, t-shirt ordered, sticker made -- every single expense that we have incurred has been completely funded by us. That being said, EVERY DONATION COUNTS, whether it be $0.10 or $10...so help us out & keep us on the road!!!
Welcome to the official Groundbreaking Ceremony Myspace page!
This sweet little shindig known as our Myspace page is owned, run, and operated by all of us, randomly throughout our days from our computers, laptops, iPhones, etc.
We love and respect all of our fans, of all ages. We also love talking to you after our shows, on Myspace, and even on AIM, so hit us up! We can't stress to you enough how much you all mean to us. You make us, and we're grateful for that!
Please respect us and be courteous though, and don't spam our page. A little, "Hey, What do you think of my band?? Check us out?" is one thing, but taking up half of our comment page and forcing us to sift through ads -- that's a bit much.

Here's our top four question list that we get asked pretty much daily from you guys! Think of it as our GBC FAQ. Sounds cool, doesn't it??
Q: Where are you guys from?
A: We live scattered throughout Central Pennsylvania.
Q: What are your influences?
A: All of our influences vary from one person to the next. Ask us who we're listening to at the time though and you'll get an earful any day of the week. Hit us up on AIM if you reeeeally wanna know.
Q: Are you playing ((INSERT CITY HERE)) anytime soon?
A: We update our venue section regularly, and usually, if we get enough requests to be somewhere, no matter how big or small, we end up there -- even at just the cost of gas.
Q: Where can I buy your sweet, sweet music?
A: Right Here!!

LOL, you can tell me, it'll be our little secret. And our next video update will have Tom and Jason telling you how awful the record will be. They know, haha.
lol of course :) Yeah definitely whenever you guys are in California let me know. I'll definitely go help out and support you guys. Hopefully i will be moving to L.A soon then it will definitely be a lot easier for me to help bands book shows.
Oh nice! that sounds like a fun. What do you mean? Like what kind of bands i listen to? Well there's this band called The Groundbreaking Ceremony. They are pretty darn good. Heard of them? lol :)
Hahaha, aww, I didn't want you to get jealous. But yeah, Tom is super cool. We've actually chatted a lot about ADTR and his time in the band and writing the songs and all that. Same with Jason, he's giving us such cool stories about Mayday. Good times all around. Wish you were here to join us!
Depending on my timeline I might or might not be able to. I might be working with the Sundance Film fest this year and I might be out before then. I'm movin to LA! Figured I'm not getting any younger and it was the only place I got any auditions as a writer or musician anyway.. Scaary shit. Hopefully worth it.
I'll let you know soon though. I'd dig goin back to lockport for a couple days, boner-shriveling cold or not.
