Animal Planet rocks! The many animal control related shows now airing on Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel are an eye opening view into the world of animal rescue and welfare. Tune in and get educated. Those things happen everywhere, not just on TV. That may be happening in your neighborhood! Always spay or neuter and keep identification on your pets to help them come home safely.

About me: On July 9th, 2007, Grant County Animal Outreach took over operations of the Moses Lake Animal Shelter. We are not affiliated with nor do we receive assistance from the Moses Lake Grant County Humane Society or the Calico Cat Thrift Store.
Our Mission:
To give shelter to the displaced and abandoned. To give safety to the abused and neglected. To educate the community on the importance of responsible pet ownership.
Annnnddd....we have a new CALENDAR Check for upcoming shelter events, animal holidays and other things happening with GCAO!!!
Animal lovers of all ages! We always welcome volunteers to interact and socialize our shelter pets. If you would like to volunteer at the Moses Lake Animal Shelter, please contact gcanimaloutreach@hotmail.com or call Carmon at 509-762-9616 betwen 12:00 and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
TRANSPORT! Going to Seattle? Have a little spare room? Sign up as a transport volunteer. We send as many shelter pets as possible to rescue, and most rescues are located in the greater Seattle area. If you don't mind a passenger, let us know when you go and you might be able to save a life on your next trip! If necessary, we also offer a slight gas expense reimbursement.

I recently moved from Moses Lake and took one of my Sister's dogs with me because of the pitbull ordinance (she had 4!). I'm wondering tho, if the ordinance applies to mixed-breed pits as well? AND if you know of any such restrictions on these dogs in King County or where I can go to find out if the city of Carnation restricts pitbulls?
