   About Greenville College Choir
The Greenville College Choir was founded in 1927 by Dr. Robert Woods. Its first public performance was at the inauguration of Dr. Leslie R. Marston as president of GC that same year. Dr. Jeffrey S. Wilson is the Director of Choral Studies at Greenville and has conducted the Choir and Chamber Singers since 1996.

Since its inception the Greenville College Choir has attained a widespread reputation for performing sacred choral music of the highest quality and appears in as many as 30 performances on and off campus each year. The choir tours annually throughout the United States and Canada. This year the Choir is planning an East Coast Tour traveling through the D.C. area as well as possibly Boston and New York City. In March 2008 the choir toured through Central and Eastern Europe .

Greenville College Choir has been offered a unique experience to perform with the world renowned Boston Camerata at the "Symphony of Psalms" Concert along with St. Louis Cathedral Choirs at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis in early November of this year. The College Choir performed February 19-21, 2008 at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Central Division Convention in Grand Rapids, MI. The Greenville Chamber Singers is the premier chamber choral group on campus and will be performing this January, for a second time, at the IMEA Illinois All-State Convention in Peoria, Illinois.

Yeah we are! We love that piece.... nothing like the crowd reaction to the first stomp. Not that much fun on concrete risers in some big churches/cathedrals but still a favorite. I also think that we’re doing the Fleming. That’s a beautiful piece as well.

Anywho, not sure what admin has in mind, but a visit to Greenville sounds like a great idea-or vice versa.... ;o)

Blessings!

Thanks for befriending the GREAT Binghamtonics. Fame and fortune are in your future now that you a part of the Tonics crew. If people give you strange looks walking down the street, don't be alarmed. Know that that is jealousy, and you are special now.
