About Ged Keenan

Originally from Manchester, Ged Keenan is now based in Yorkshire. He has been writing and producing his own songs for many years, with influences from songwriters such as Bob Dylan, Ian Hunter and Bruce Springsteen. He has achieved some significant success with his songwriting, notably with his songs ‘One More Night’ and ‘Missing You’ being requested by Josh Zandman's Film and TV company in Nashville for licensing. Ged has achieved semi finalist status in the UK Songwriting Contest, backed by the Brit Awards, for two years in succession with ‘Slaid Hill Road’ and One More Night’ and had three songs, 'One More Night', ‘Empty Rooms’ and ‘Slaid Hill Road’ in the Broadjam Internet Music charts top ten. Ged is currently performing live acoustic gigs in the Yorkshire (Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate) area with Scottish singer songwriter Dot Jarvis under the name of Fischers Ghost www.myspace.com/fischersghost.
