Paper arts: bookmaking, stamping, scrapping. My dog. My friends. Birds. Food.
Music
I used to think I was pretty cutting edge when it came to music, but lately I find I don't know any of the newer bands and don't really like the ones I do. I'd like to know more about American Roots music. I dig a folksy bluegrass blend.
Movies
I love movies. Good movies seem hard to come by these days. If the popcorn's good, though, it's not a waste of time.
Television
Love "Grey's Anatomy" and am still following "Gilmore Girls" and "ER" although I miss the quality those shows have. Otherwise I watch a lot of cooking shows and HGTV. Getting a little into "Heroes", but was over "Lost" last season.
Books
Stephen King's "The Stand" is still my personal favorite. Everything he's written since is crap, but I love that book. A friend turned me on to Anne Lamott. I read more magazines than books these days, though.
Heroes
I have several friends who are following their life-long dreams. They are my heroes. Also, the people I know (and don't know) who struggle just to keep house and home together for their families, but manage to be happy all the time.
About me: I am a working wife and mother in my mid-forties. I struggle with my weight and mild depression, but for the most part I am aware of how fortunate I am. I have a wonderful husband, son, and stepson who are all healthy and relatively happy. I have daughter-in-law who has no interest in making me a grandma just yet. I still have both of my parents and even my grandmother. Most of all, I have had (and still do have) the best batch of friends anyone could wish for. As of last year, (I even have a dog! Of course, she's the best dog ever.)
Who I'd like to meet: Hmmmm. I'm always up for meeting new people.
Tell Max we said Happy Birthday! Does this mean he's driving now?! *yikes! ;D * Glad you had a good time yesterday! We just chilled after our trip. Kids did sparklers and snakes. Dew walked the neighborhood with them to look at fireworks (I hate mosquitoes!)
Party was great. We have our 1 year check up tomorrow and I will try so hard to update things this week. How are you? Are you still talking to me or do we have to stop being friends?
Hey bestestestest ever, I sent you a CD from a folk fundraiser compilation to benefit breast cancer. Got one for me, so I got one for you too (then I forgot to send a card with it! Sorry about that)
Take aspirin for inflammation, then take Tylenol for pain. Drink lots of water. Take a hot shower. Warm up slowly, then try stretching. It's important to not let your muscle pain freeze you up. You need to stay mobile. Congratulations on getting started. The pain means you have injured lots of muscle fibers which means you will make a lot more muscle. This is a good thing (so they say).
