I'm a Toronto-based Producer/Composer/Session Musician/Engineer and all-around lover of music. In short, I'm an Audio Geek!!!
As a producer/engineer, I work from various facilities and choose depending on the demands of each project. I love all styles of music (including country and rap!) and welcome the challenge of trying anything new. I have ample experience on both sides of the glass, and have been fortunate enough to work some of the best in the biz, most notably: Sylvia Massy (Tool, Johnny Cash), Steve Thompson (Soundgarden, Korn, Aretha Franklin) and Jagori Tanna (I Mother Earth, Sarah Slean).
As a composer, I work mainly out of 50 Stephanie Sound (my home facility), have composed in many different styles (orchestral, funk, metal, country, etc...) and have had my work appear on Global TV, Fox Kids, YTV, Spike, MuchMusic, MuchLoud and OLN.
I am available to do session work and excel as a guitarist, bassist and vocalist and have ample experience live and in studio.
I also teach the MIDI and Synthesis class as a part of Centennial College's Recording Arts Programme.

Happy St. Patty's Day from Basia Lyjak :) "Don't Talk", the New Single has officially been sent off to print and will be ready in a couple of days. The release party is this Thursday night, March 20th, 2008 at the Annex Wreckroom, and it's a long weekend, so no excuses! =) From Other Planes, Shortwave and Alternate End are also playing, and part of ticket proceeds go towards Sketch. ca, an amazing open arts studio for homeless youth in Toronto. Donations for the Queen St. W fire victims are also being accepted, with $2 knocked off door fees for those who bring something.
We hope to see as many old and new faces out as possible, as this is a really important occasion, and we want to share it with as many fans and friends as possible!

I just finished recording my 3rd release, Perfekt World, with an album release party on March 26th at Crash Mansion! Doors at 7 PM. I will also be at the Blender Theater at gramercy this Saturday night with Emerson Hart (from Tonic). My Canadian Release will be April 18th or 19th, check the site for details soon.
