Band MembersWell, there's me. Scott Dill plays drums, and sometimes some other great players float through too.
InfluencesI sound nothing like my influences. Isn't that WEIRD?

Ok, Ok, the truth: I always wanted to be Jimmy Page. I totally failed at this.
Sounds Likea tree falling in the forest, with no one there to hear it.

   About Dave Eberhardt
Hello. My name is Dave. I play guitar.

I am probably best known for my work with Katie Reider. I played with her for ten years, appeared on three of her four albums, and am in the middle of producing her final one right now. You can also hear good examples of my work with other fantastic artists like David Wolfenberger and Elizabeth Russell if you look them up on MySpace. I just finished a project with an electronic band called "The Sleep," which was very unusual for me, and very cool. Check it out.

Hype:
I have managed to share stages and/or work on records with folks like Shawn Mullins, Antigone Rising, The Pointer Sisters, Melissa Ferrick, Tony Levin, Ember Swift, Saving Jane, Freekbass, Michelle Shocked, Victoria Williams, Over The Rhine, John Hiatt and Ricky Skaggs. Additionally, some of my work was used on television shows like Dawson's Creek, Nova (PBS) and Strong Medicine (Lifetime). That's all pretty interesting if you keep score of such things.

Music is in my blood. My grandfather was a jazz pianist in NY, where he was a band-leader when swing was king. He played on some really early live-radio broadcasts, and worked with guys like Bob Hope and Jack Benny. Yes, really.

Enough name-dropping. It doesn't make me any less obscure, or better at what I do.

These songs here are my own, and yes, that is really my voice. I used to front a band called "The Mood Rings," but we don't perform much anymore. Now I just use the name to produce pop songs in my murky studio, and work on projects for other artists there too.

So to sum up, I am a guitarist, a songwriter, a singer, a studio engineer, producer and arranger. I also hack around a little bit on piano and harmonica, but not well enough to make a show of it. So if you like what you hear, gimme a shout. Oh, and if at any point it appears that I am taking myself too seriously, I have completely misrepresented myself.

What else would you like to know?

Hey there,
Here's one from left field...
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while back I came across some very disturbing information, which inspired me to make this video:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4
Both artistic (ensure you've good enough sound to enjoy the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though the source materials are somewhat aged, the fundamentals remain relevant today.
I encourage all to visit the YouTube web page above to learn more (Show your support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly re-post and circulate as widely as possible.
Help to raise awareness.
Say have you checked out my web site (http://www.faberoptime.com) recently?
Take care and keep in touch.
Best,
Faber.

I haven't seen you in days! Not even in the lobby! Well, I started my doctorate, so I haven't had much time to rendezvous. Wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. I'll be out of the country beginning this Thursday till Jan, 2009. Have a great December!

Dave ~

Where to begin....

Just wanna say (for now) that it was an honor for me to be a part of your musical experience with Katie...I can't watch the video either.

On a relative (and lighter) note, your playing is fantastic - and perhaps one day, we can work together (Katie's benefit?)...would be a cool thing. Anyway...

Please know that I'm deeply sorry for your loss and also deeply grateful we connected.

Stay in touch and all the very best to you in your beautiful work...

Best,
Mark Luna

Dave:
I am keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. I know how close you were to Katie, and how much you will miss her. She was a true inspiration for so many, and while she was taken from this earth way too young, she made such a great impression in the short time we had her here with us.

WOW - love your sound, especially the song "Learn" - great tune. Really love your production and tonal choices too - you're like the 10th group I've found from Cincinnati that was really awesome - is there something in the water up there?!?!

Hope you dig our sound - this week we've uploaded the acoustic-based songs from our catalog. Check out "It Was You" or "Come With Me" - I think you'd enjoy them even if they are pure pop!

Feel free to download and share our music with your friends. If you want to hear more you can listen and download more than 24 songs from our catalog at our sister site at:

Oh yeah, thanks for the add. I look forward to hearing more from you - keep up the great work!!
