The beginning of the end....Geezer on Diesel is a local Brooklyn molasses punk band consisting of frontman Mark Ephraim, studio guru Paul Mahajan on bass, guitar purveyor Sam Taylor on baritone guitar, and diesel truck driver Geezer on drums.
This brand new band will probably be sharing the stage or itunes playlists with bands like Dead Meadow, My Bloody Valentine, Morphine, White Stripes, and maybe even Scott Walker. With lyrics like "There's no cure for cancer, so stop waitin, waitin, waitin..If you're looking for an answer, try Satan, Satan, Satan!" Geezer on Diesel provide an all encompassing live set, complete with a toothless crooner and a snareless drummer. Who needs that shit anyway?
"The drummer's name is Geezer and he doesn't use a snare, which must attract a lot of women for them because I've had at least two girlfriends tell me they hate snares. Just big ass riffs pounding around like a two-ton brick of weed in the back of a pick-up rockin' dualies off-road, then breaking down in your driveway leaving an oil slick in the shape of Texas."
