Geezer Safari was formed in late 2005 by Kris Ward and Sam Freeman. Song’s were written and rehearsed before even starting to look for a drummer to complete this all exciting new Indie trio. John Schofield joined Geezer Safari in the early months of 2006 and added a whole new dimension to the profile of the trio. New songs were written and before it could be seen that this new Nottingham trio had the beginnings of something special. Their anthem like melodies combined with Kris Ward’s unique writing style creates a sound and experience that once heard is hard to forget. Geezer Safari are currently recording their first album with production from Tony Foster (of Spitiualised fame). The new album holds a wide variety of songs ranging from acoustic tracks to full indie rock tunes. A tour is currently being planned for the midlands area and later this year for the UK tour. Geezer Safari has an impressive gig record and with over 20 years of gigging history between them their live shows are an event not to be missed.
