geishaNO came to bury the alternative rock scene, not to praise it.
While the passe sound of garage band/throw backs have saturated radio play lists from the early 90’s until now, Danny Aberjel and Yaron Melloul (front men of geishaNO) are on another mission less obvious…to break rules of quintessential 3 piece rock bands, not follow them.
geishaNO emerged from the little apple of Tel-Aviv two years ago, converting music fans of nu-metal, industrial, & alternative rock almost instantly. They have been gigging nationally ever since. Their freshman offering, Idle Words (2007 Earsay) and their subsequent singles (“Oblivious Inc.” & title track “Idle Words”) were picked up on nationally syndicated commercial radio and NC stations alike. The nods from music critics have catapulted geishaNO to the forefront of the Israeli indie scene…and this is truly just the beginning.
