Geisha Nun’ s Project
Le groupe a vu le jour en 2005, autour de Geisha Nun aka la Nonne Geisha et son univers défini comme « poésie entre jazz et soul ». Fille de poète et autodidacte, elle s’associe avec ceux qui deviendront l’essence de la formation scénique : Nathalie Ahadji au sax ténor, Aurélien Genest à la batterie, Niels à la guitare, ainsi que Simon Drappier à la contrebasse dans un répertoire naviguant entre standards de jazz, compositions soul-funk ainsi que slam.
Après s’être produits dans les bars parisiens pendant 2 ans, la rencontre musicale avec le 61-crew, un trio de compositeurs multi-instrumentistes et leur influence cinématique apportera une touche électro à l’ensemble ainsi qu’une nouvelle inspiration. Aujourd’hui avec Toops du 61-crew aux machines, sur scène, le jazz flirte avec le hip-hop, et la soul épouse la drum & bass, le tout saupoudré d’une voix toute de miel et de gingembre.
The band has born in 2005, initiated by The Geisha Nun and her universe defined as "poetry between jazz and soul". Poet's daughter and self-taught, she associated with whom will become the essence of the project on stage: Nathalie Ahadji-tenor sax, Aurélien Genest-drums, Niels-guitar and Simon Drappier-doublebass in a show including jazz songs, soul-funk compositions and spoken word.
After having concerts in Parisian bars for 2 years, there was the musical acquaintance with the 61-crew, 3 talented multi-instrumentalist producers; then their cinematic influence would bring an electro touch and a brand new inspiration to everyone.
Now, with Toops programming on stage, the jazz is flirting with hip hop, the soul marries the drum&bass, and all this sprinkled with a honey and ginger voice.

Nun..s Project La musique des sphères célestes, dans le concert des galaxies, peut être entendu notre cœur et notre subconscient! La lumière a commencé à danser et ne plus jamais été le silence. Beaucoup de force des vibrations positives, la paix!
