We are The Gelheads.. We are not afraid to say we are the best band Chicago has seen in the last decade. On stage we will bleed and sweat for you, off stage we will buy you a beer and sit down with you and chat till the sun comes up.
We are not some twice-removed post sub genre mix of disco and pretentious emotional crap. We are in your face rock and roll. We are proud of what we do, and if you don’t like it than the exit doors are always to the back. (We won’t be offended, we know some people just don’t get it, I guess that explains why bands like Nickelback have fans.)
We have been told by major labels that we need to sound more like “band A” or more like “band B” and we said f*ck you, we are “band C you later.” We did it our way, always have and always will. That is what rock and roll is about. Not the homogenized fluff you hear on the radio.
We’ve played arenas, and we’ve played fluorescent-lit clubs the size of an airplane bathroom. We managed on our own to share the stage with bands such as KISS, Everclear and Fall Out Boy. We’ve played warped tour, and have done the couch tour. We are not too proud and we are not too good for anyone. We are good at what we do, and thankful for those who get it.
Hey The Gelheads, we hope you can make it out The Magic Bag, Friday June 12th. As it will be our most wonderful show of the summer and it sure would be swell if you could have a frothy beverage with us :-)

We proud to annouce that our song, "Romeo and Juliet" has just been added to Q101.1's alternative rock station. You can request it anytime, and will be up on our myspace very soon. Just wanted to drop a line and let you know about the big “Detroit Vs. Chicago” show coming up Sat Dec 1st @ Small’s in Hamtramck!
Basically its 4 great bands, 2 from The Motor City, and 2 from The Windy City. Bulletproof Moxie & Novada (Detroit) vs. The Gelheads & Moxie Motive (Chicago).
It’s also Chad’s Birthday, so who knows what may happen (shots, jager, teddy bears, who knows?)
