I started working in the jewelry industry in 1984 for award winning designer Susan Machamer in Syracuse & Cazenovia NY. After that, I worked for various retail stores in the central NY area.

In 1991, I relocated to Los Angeles.

As of May '07, I have succesfully moved to Northern California. I have set up a lapidary studio here and now I plan to spend the rest of my life being a long-haired, reclusive artist.

I have earned two degrees in Gemology: Graduate Gemologist/1990 (GG) from the Gemological Institute of America and Fellowship of the Gemmological Association/1995 (FGA) from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain. I have also learned (self taught) to facet and carve gemstones.
