Geminii formed in 2005 as an improvisational live jazz-tronic band w/ DJ sensibilities and instrumental proficiency. Their unique approach to improvisation blurs the lines between the live musician, the composer and the dj. Geminii begins improvising then loops real and virtual instruments in real time, mixing and manipulating the loops as a dj would and then improvises on top of the spontaneous composition just created.
Geminii is truly a foward-thinking modern jazz ensemble.
Hope you can make it out this Friday to catch me spin. Not in Los Angeles? Jump on a plane! :-) First 100 heads in the door get free Lost Angeles Recordings CDs! This brand new release features 2 original tracks by Jazzy Burn's and 2 remixes by east coast DJ and producer ATOM. Funky electro fusion house beat with that sophisticated style that only Jazzy knows how. Get this one baby and put your electrons into orbit.
This promo mixset is a sampler of the slower stuff I like to play as Tao Jones. It's basically a condensed version fo the hour and a half to two hours I normally play. It starts off all chunky and hiphop, gets glitchy, rages it, catches it's breath, and then get's all wobbly in the low end. The last track I probably wouldn't play at an event unless it was really appropriate, but it's one of my favourite songs ever so I thought I'd share it with you.
If you like the music on this set, please support the artists by buying their music and going to their shows.
Thanks and props go out to ana sia, lorin, the glitch mob, and sean conlon, who did shut em down with me.
Much love
Dylan

Yes, when I do my laptop set, I use Live and when I do my solo guitar/bass set, I use the Repeater. I love it!! :-)
I'm even thinking of getting a 2nd Repeater in the future :-D I'd imagine it'd be possible to create some great loops with 2 of em as one is amazing enough. You used the Looperlative or EDP?
Oh, and as for wanting to come to Australia. I've been wanting to go to Canada for years and the plan is next year. Whistler for downhill mountainbiking as the main attraction.

Thanks for the request. Good stuff - representing Rockland! I'm originally from Nyack - hit me up if you want to do some sort of electro-musical collaboration...
