In January 2003 two members of rock formation Black Snow, Zors and Rusch, founded Gemini Season. They recorded their ideas for songs on an 8-track and started searching for capable musicians. After a lot of switches they came in contact with a gifted drummer, Martial. Strangely enough he lived only a couple of miles from them. Martial had his own rehearsal studio, the ideal place to start a new band!
A couple of months later they parted with their temporal bass player, Koen. He was replaced by Krid Yrus, a long-time friend of Martial. They knew each other from previous bands ( Beyond The Labyrinth and White Shadow ) therefore the rhythm section blended together very well. The band existed of two duos who knew each other musically through and through ... and so the story continued for a while ...
In May 2005 Rusch decided to leave the band due to personal and musical reasons. Krid, Martial and Zors were planning to continue as a trio, but a fateful audition decided otherwise. The summer of 2005 ... in walked this young ambitious guitar player, Fre. He joined Gemini Season until 2007. In the winter of 2007 he was replaced by guitar phenomenon Dario Frodo. Not only was he the guitar player they were looking for, he also was the right choice to add the final touch to the Gemini-sound! At last a stable and reliable line-up.
The band is always working on a solid set and a reliable live reputation. 2007 was the year of their first full album "Gone", which was released in April 2007. Don't hesitate to come and check them out! What kind of music can you expect from Gemini Season? Well structured rock songs with a melodic hook drenched in grooving, pounding rhythms. Their music can be placed somewhere in between Pain Of Salvation and U2, in other words very diverse.
Gemini Season has created their own blend! They have been playing music for way too long to be a copycat. Their musical style is unique in Belgium.

Geweldig optreden in de Centrale vorige donderdag! Zeer stevige sound en getalenteerde musici die de zaal een half uur op z'n grondvesten deden daveren: petje af, rij vooruit en een kus van de juffrouw. Hopelijk staan we nog eens samen on stage!
