I look so stoned in this pic. I assure you that I'm not.
I guess the first thing that I would like folks to know about me is that I am a genuinely GOOD person whose Life Philosophy is to have as much fun as possible without hurting anyone. I am also an aspiring screenwriter still waiting for my big break at age 48. I'm looking forward to great news this year, though! I have a wonderful family (sibs, aunts, cousins, etc.) and awesome friends and I love spending time with them.
Here are some pics of my family, my friends and me:
Me and my "other half" Matt Larkin at Venice Beach, CA in December 1989. We described each other as "the same person in two different bodies." We'd been BFFs since we were kids in '76. In October 2001, we were both admitted to the same floor of the same hospital on the same day...I with a raging infection and 104 fever; he with complications from "the Big A." He passed away the next day without either of us knowing that the other was there, although we'd both sent messages to each other. Bittersweet in a way. I miss him to pieces every day!
Cosmic connection between Matt, my other BFF Jim Durso ("the Big A" got him in '94) and me: My real first name is "Eugena." Jim's middle name was "Eugene." Matt's middle name was "Gene" after his uncle Eugene. I met Jim in Drama Club in high school and met Matt after he recognized me from seeing me in a high school play. I found out later that Matt and Jim knew each other from Catholic school. Strange, but true...sort of like the Lincoln-Kennedy connection...
...so there!
Who I'd like to meet: Whomever God has in store for me to meet who will have a positive impact on my life.
I've moved all of my videos over here because I didn't want them scrolling over my mommy's face. Isn't she beautiful? You should have seen her in person!
Here is a video of me and my friends Raquel and Jeff marching in the 1994 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with the Summer Music Games All-Star Drum and Bugle Corps (I'm actually visible throughout the clip and even in the capture below):
Here is a favorite song of mine. I had been searching for it for years and finally found this video online. Remember the "Blue Balloon" song from the movie "Jeremy" with Robby Benson? Well, here it is:
This is a very moving video by Melange Lavonne called Gay Bash. It's a message to all of those "so-called Christians" who are anything but Christ-like when they spew hate against ANYone:
And now for a bit of levity. This is a VERY funny video featuring the VERY funny Scott Thompson and Conan O'Brien:
