Since the mid 80’s Gene Deer has been building the bridge between Rock and Blues music. Playing over 250 shows a year, Deer is one of the Indiana blues scene faces that has covered the Midwest. The stage is his second home, weather it be a concert, festival or a local Blues club. Signed by the Slippery Noodle Sound in 1994, Gene shows versatility in his first release “Soul Tender” Joe Konz (Indianapolis star) Says “Soul Tender casts local talent Gene Deer as a Well-schooled guitarist, gritty vocalist and seasoned Blues man who’s talent goes beyond the Rock/Blues stuff he’s excelled for years in his blues club act”

Blues Review Quarterly publisher, Bob Vorel Picked Gene Deer’s debut recording “Soul Tender” as “one of his favorite CD’s always out of the cover and ready to play.”
In 1997 The Slippery Noodle Sound released “Liven’ with the Blues” once again proving Gene’s strength and diversity, Hal Yeagy of The Slippery Noodle says “Gene is obviously one of the strongest acts in the area.” NUVO Magazine has voted his “THE BEST BLUES BAND” for the past eight or nine years straight.
Currently Gene is working with the Slippery Noodle sound on his Next release due out in 2007.

So I was stuck in Indianapolis, In for a week while my wife attended a conference and having never been to Indy, I thought what am I to do.....a week of boredom....then saw you on the last night we were there, Friday the 22 of June...You light it up. Great player, great band. Thanks for makin' my trip to Indianapolis worth it...and thanks for the add...Eben
