GENEDEFECT are a 4 piece metal band from Western Sydney who exploded onto the local metal scene in late 2005 with many solid support shows around Sydney and the lower east coast of Australia
Throughout 2006 the band worked on developing and perfecting their sound and performance which resulted in the release of their self titled ''e.p'' in April 2007, producing the underground metal anthem “My Ready Eye”.
Early 2008 saw their video for this single debut and air for a phenomenal two months straight on ABC’s Rage program for new releases on Friday nights. This was followed by a number of intense headlining shows where Genedefect have forged a reputation for commanding a passionate cult like following that is unrivalled by any other local act in the Sydney metal scene.
January 2010 will bring the release of their highly anticipated Debut full length album, Backed up with extensive national touring to introduce their unique style of brutal yet melodic metal to a wider audience eager to experience heavy music that is dynamic enough for one to really cut loose to.
Genedefect aren’t interested in hooking in a heap of new fans by following shamelessly marketable trends and exploiting our impressionable youth. They instead thrive on playing a refreshingly honest brand of metal and are dedicated to building and maintaining the most loyal of fan bases who are passionate about engaging live music and not just to be a part of a temporarily trendy scene.

The track is a DEMO from the upcoming album that is to be recorded at Studio Fredman, Sweden January 2010 with legendary metal producer Fredrik Nordstrom who has produced such metal bands as In Flames, Soilwork, Bring Me The Horizon, The Haunted etc
And mastered by Danish metal producer Tue Madsen who has worked with August Burns Red, Suicide Silence, Winds Of Plague etc
