About me:
Generasian Radio is a unique radio program featuring an eclectic mix of Asian Underground, Hindi, Bhangra, Arabic, house, and hip-hop. This new genre of music is widely popular among the South Asian youths. We hope to additionally reach Pakistani, Middle Eastern, Hispanic, European, American and other nationalities in addition to Indians with our style and format. The show will also feature interviews with musicians and artists from all over the world, live mixes (Maha Beatz) in the studio, and cultural community events in Houston.
Generasian Radio airs on 90.1FM KPFT (Houston), a non-profit radio station which relies solely on donations and support from its listeners.
When and where did Generasian Radio begin?
Hosts Yogi, Alx and Deepi first aired their program in March 2002 and then in May 2002, in hopes of becoming a regular program in Houston.
When can I hear Generasian Radio?
Generasian Radio will be on KPFT 90.1FM from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Thursdays. Log on to www.generasianradio.com to listen live via internet or download past shows.
