First launched in 1992, Generator became one of Detroit's most revered techno labels for straight-ahead dancefloor techno. Guided by Alan D. Oldham aka DJ T-1000, Generator boasted inspired releases from himself and Woody McBride, remixes from UK superstar Dave Clarke and seminal first releases by Sean Deason, Marco Passarani, and others.
In 1996, with his last Generator release, "Enginefloatreactor" 2x12", Oldham made the decision to shelve the Generator label in order to devote his full attention to his then newly-formed Pure Sonik label dedicated to his releases only.
In 2007, Generator returned for a new decade of exploring sounds influenced by Detroit and Chicago from new artists w/guest remixers so stay tuned!

GEN030 • Mauser • Jack Orchestra (12")
Generator kicks it up a notch with its second release since the relaunch with a strong debut 12" by Chicago's Mauser. A deep-jackin' combination of classic Chicago jack traxx instrumentation, acid basslines, and a little Detroit techno soul.
GEN029 • Neon Sex Fiend • Elektrofive (12") with DJ K1 aka Keith Tucker, Ultradyne, and Mauser Remixes!!!!!
First new release since 1997 on the revamped label is "Elektrofive." Produced by Alan D. Oldham himself, this raw robotic slice of Berlin-inspired elektropunk energy (with effected vocals and lyrics by Oldham) is a radical sonic departure from his minimal dancefloor techno he's known for. Includes a smooth Detroit style remixed by DJ K1 (Keith Tucker of Aux 88) and the evil electro duo that is Ultradyne.
Keep it tuned to this station for more exciting music from "Techno-logy You Can Trust", Generator Records.
