Genesis began her singing career at the age of seven (7) years old in the mariachi music genre. Now, at the age of twelve (12), she has become an accomplished mariachi singer and an amazing English/Spanish pop vocalist. She has captured the admiration of many fans at events where she had the privilege of performing. These events include County Fairs, private events and television programs, such as Univision's International tv show "Sabado Gigante" and "Viva La Familia de Todo Bebe". Genesis also made her acting debut in a supporting role with actors Keanu Reeves, Forest Whitaker, and Chris Evans in the feature film "Street Kings", which was released to theatres in 2008 and is now available on DVD. Genesis continues to prepare herself vocally and as an actress, with the aspiration of having new opportunities in films, commercials and in the music industry. Genesis is thankful for the many blessings God has given her on a personal level, as well as an artist. Genesis is very fortunate to be under the instruction of high calliber music professionals such as RON HARRIS, STEFANIE RIDEL and ANTHONY MAZZA at TALENT BOOTCAMP in the English music genre. In the Spanish mariachi music genre, Genesis is honored to have virtuoso mariachi vocalist, MELINDA SALCIDO (member of the 2008 Grammy Award Winner "Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea") as her private coach. Currently, Genesis also has the privilege to study "vocal technique" with latin producers/songwriters, Pedro G. Bader and Gloria España (songwriter for Christian Castro's new hit song "El Culpable soy yo") as they are preparing her for the latin pop genre. However, there are many other important people that have formed part of Genesis' talent journey that cannot be forgotten. A great example would be Mr. JONATHAN GEORGE of JJPZ TALENT DEVELOPMENT. Genesis first came to Jonathan at the age of nine (9) when Genesis only sang mariachi music. Genesis told Jonathan that she "COULDN'T" sing in English and Jonathan looked at her and smiled. Eventually, Jonathan proved her wrong by challenging her to songs such as Beyonce's "Listen", Celine Dion's "River Deep Mountain High" and a favorite of many fans, Mandy Moore's " Only Hope". Jonathan George as well as the entire team of people that currently work with and train Genesis have believed in Genesis' dream of becoming an artist but most importantly, they have believed in her potential. Genesis is also greatful to supporters such as GIL SPERRY, Author of "Mariachi for Gringos" for his great support and admiration and of course, MARIACHI DIVAS and their leader, CINDY SHEA for always finding the occasional opportunity to include Genesis as special guest on their shows. Genesis appreciates all friends and family for the wonderful support and encouragement with her artistic endeavors and all the new friends from "MYSPACE" that constantly send their love, compliments and good wishes.
