Peggi Cella (vocals) became well known in the early 1970s when she sang with Cleveland's hottest band, "Tiny Alice". Not only a superlative jazz artist, Peggi sings everything from blues to rock and, as a composer, has created dozens of pithy swinging songs.
Bill Kenney (clarinet, soprano sax and vocals) has several jazz history books currently in print. His bubbling sense of humor combines with superb musicianship, often causing audiences to erupt in laughter. Bill also plays with Cleveland pianist George Foley.
Gene Epstein (String bass, vocals and leader) is a popular Cleveland area bassist. In addition to Gene's Jazz Hot she performs with George Foley, The John Richmond Swingtet, the Bell Aires and Crazy Rhythm. An artist she also designed the cd cover.
Seth Rosen (guitar and vocals) is a versatile musician who also plays mandolin, violin and bass. He played with The Suspenders, a fixture on the club and party scene until 2007, Crazy Rhythm and his own group The Sethro Quartet Seth teaches sometimes at the Augusta Heritage Center's "Swing Week".

In the fall of 2004 Gene Epstein assembled a small group of musicians to play a benefit. Though strangers at the start of the gig they could tell something special had occurred and Gene's Jazz Hot was born. Cafe Limbo , a popular Cleveland vegetarian restaurant was our home until it closed in August 2007. Wanting to keep us in the neighborhood, we were invited to play down the street at Loganberry Books on the second Thursday of the month. Gene's Jazz Hot also plays for concerts, art openings, house parties and other fun events.
Gene's Jazz Hot plays jazz from the swing era with their own special energy, excitement and humor. They call it: "seriously happy, swinging music".
They released their first CD "Hot" in August of 2006 and their second CD "Live, Love, Laugh and Be Happy" in October 2009. Both are available for $15 exclusively through Loganberry Books
