I am a singer-songwriter raised on the beaches of Australia's Central Coast. In 2004, I relocated to the bustling city of Sydney to pursue my fascination with the brain undertaking a Medical Science degree, and complemented this move by taking a professional stance as a performing artist. My drive toward becoming the best musician I can be stems from my passion for performing to an audience- on stage I am closest to my true form. I offer my vulnerabilities and in doing so reveal- both to myself and my audience- who I am. It is this intimacy that is so rewarding and so unique to the live experience that I can't comprehend life without it.
Throughout my recent years performing professionally I have had the privilege of working with a number of extremely talented and inspirational musicians-
Claire Wyndham (Cello) http://www.myspace.com/clairewyndham,
Mark Wilkinson (guest vocals) http://www.myspace.com/markwilkinsonmusic,
Anthony Lockhart (drums, acoustic guitar) http://www.myspace.com/anthonylockhart,
Mike Walker (congas), Jonathon Ball(viola), Oliver Hookins (7-string Electric Viola) and Adrian Kyneur (percussion extraordinaire) http://www.myspace.com/ibustbeats
Collaborating with such artists is so important to me and my musical progression- not to mention the blast we all have on stage and working together in the studio!
The last year has privileged me with the thrills of touring both interstate and overseas, throughout North America and Europe and around my home country, Australia. Touring truly clarified that music and sound are the essential ingredients to my life. I arrived back in Sydney from my overseas tour with a fresh determination to further my involvement in the music industry; and so begins my exciting journey into the realm of the Music Producer…Now exploring life as a postgraduate, I have undertaken a Master in Media Arts and Production course, and am currently studying in the United States' enlightening San Francisco to facilitate this exciting endeavour…
Hey Gen! wow, sorry i didnt get back to you sooner! myspace hasn't been notifying me of posted comments. Photography has been alright, had a shoot with Chase The Sun in katoomba early october and got some kick ass shots for the guys. Dad's band, Psycho Zydeco, played at The Manly Fig the other week, and i shot that for em. Figured out a few things with my new camera that's going to be awesome for future gigs! did a swimwear shoot at the cronulla sand dunes with some girls from church, that was exciting, got some awesome shots that i can use for portfolio things. Also, i just finished Jury Duty on monday. 6 week trial. interesting indeed, but man oh man some days were a brutal struggle to stay awake! but alas, justice has been served. Got a baby shoot this saturday with a married couple from church, and i've got some new gear to test out, so it's gonna be a good experiment. and a shoot with a friend on sunday for some head shots. Havent done any gigs myself other than singing at church. But I'm rostered on this saturday, so I'm pretty excited! One other thing that has been a pain in the heiney, is that my licence got suspended for 6 months. not happy. Unfortunate situation, but what can ya do? So public transport and trusty friends have been an absolute life saver during this time. 8th of jan and i'm back on the road! cannot wait, not being able to drive has really sucked donkey balls. Got a wedding to shoot on the 12th ..hey're friends of mine, so that's alright, transport will be organised somehow. if it was a client that i had no connections with... oh man, that would have been interesting. Yeah there's been a bit of acvitivity to keep me occupied for a bit. What's been shaking in your creative world G? need to get my gen fix sometime in the near future! xx

I hope you & A.K. have a ripper gig at Budgewoi, I'm off to Global Carnival at Bellingen, so sadly won't be around for either of your Central Coast gigs. I am back for my gig with Ron Sinclair at the Bateau Bay Hotel on Sunday, Oct. 11th, so if you're still hovering on the Coast, come along (going for lunch, playing at 3pm).
Will have a bucketload of drummers along for that for sure!
May I say, fabulous set you played at Brackets & Jam on Saturday night. Really nice to catch up & hear what you've been up to lately. Spunky drummer hanging around with you too. Keep him hangin' on!!!!
